Just to expand on what J.P. has mentioned here. Not only was Col. Harland Sanders from Henryville, but so was his nephew Lee Cummings. The two initially worked together to develop the Kentucky Fried Chicken chain of restaurants. After the chain was sold, Lee Cummings worked to develop his own recipe.....which would go on to be known as the "Famous Recipe". So the two largest fried chicken chains in the land owe their origins to this small Indiana (yes...Indiana) town!
