"Valhalla received itís name from the Post Masterís wife who was a fan of Wagner Operas. When the train stopped at the labor camp for the dam, a name was needed for addressing envelopes. Also, if you walk across the top of the dam there is a plaque which shows the names of all the workers who died during the construction, many of whom are buried in the dam because of getting caught in the quick drying cement."
