Description

"Built in (1867-1868) the Steuben County Courthouse is a two-story brick structure that generally reflects a New England influence. It illustrates a transitional phase between Greek Revival and Italianate architecture. The proportions and roof line are clearly derived from the Greek Revival while the decoration reflects a combination of Romanesque and Italianate."
