#1385 was built by the American Locomotive Works for the Chicago & Northwestern Railway in 1907. The 4-6-0 was one of the R-1 class, the largest of the locomotives used by the C&NW, and one of about 325 that were built.

The original tender, was beyond hope. A new tender was constructed on the original chassis, which is currently on display.
