Overview Looking Southwest

Although built late in the Art Deco period, this parking structure features several Art Deco details. Missing now is a sign, using the Broadway font, that proclaimed this building as belonging to Gimbel's Department Store. (The store was located behind the camera in the block formed by Wisconsin Avenue, Plankinton Avenue, Michigan Avenue and the Milwaukee River.
