Everett Resort, The

1269 Everett Rd., Eagle River, Wisconsin 54521

A sandy lakefront resort connected to dozens of other lakes and surrounded by many other lakes, streams and rivers.

"The Everett Resort, developed between 1896 and 1937, consisted of approximately thirty-five cabins, a dining room, office, linen room, bar, employee quarters, boathouse, tennis court and other support buildings. A concrete sidewalk connects the cottages on the Catfish Lake side of the property and leads to the dining room. A large dinner bell, which now rests on top of the kitchen, originally sat atop a pole next to the kitchen/dining facility. Although the central core of buildings, as well as three of the cottages are owned by a single owner, the remaining cabins have all been sold off individually. Despite the fact that the additional cabins are privately owned, it is important to note that they also maintain a significant degree of integrity."
