Description 

The building occupies the west side of Military Plaza in downtown San Antonio. This structure has gone through various changes in both function and design during its lifetime. It began as a home foe the captain of the Spanish military garrison and is currently a museum. -- Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS TX-3540)
