Description

Constructed from 1876-79, this is the only one of Richardson's library buildings that has not been enlarged. The structure shows the characteristic asymmetrical plan that gave these educational structures variety, coherence, and real monumentality. -- National Historic Landmark statement of significance, December 23, 1987
