Description

The barn is part of what originally was the headquarters of Andrew McNally's Windermere Ranch. McNally (of Rand McNally Co.) purchased the land in 1890 from the Able-Stearns - Ranches Company. Of the 2,200 acres purchased, roughly 700 acres were set aside for his Windermere Ranch where the barn now sets.
