The Ehlen Round Barn is a large clay tile and frame true-round barn that was built between 1922-1924. The barn measures 90 feet in diameter. A central, interior clay tile silo which measures 16 feet in diameter extends above tle 2 pitch gmbrel roof and is topped by a wooden louvered ventilator. The main facade faces west and the barn's masive size providesa senseof enclcure to the farmstead. The driveway, which is a man-made earthen embankment createsa ramp entrance that provides accessdirectly into the hay mow level of the barn. The driveway extends along the east side of the barn and descendsto the lower level past the barn to open fields. [NRHP Form]
