Fort Webb

Also known as: state survey no.: WA-B-227
Country Club Dr., Bowling Green, Kentucky

Photos

Fort Webb was tiny, being manned with only 130 men and 3 cannon. Just how effective it's 12 pounders would have actually been was never put to the test. Fort Webb was abandoned by the Confederates without firing a shot as Federal forces prepared to bombard the city from across the Barren River.
