The conversation at home is usually something like, "Where are you going this weekend?" This sign tells the usual answer, although "Upnorth" in Wisconsin is an undefined location that starts somewhere around highway 33 and goes as far north as Da Yoop and runs from Lake Michigan to the Saint Croix River.
