This is a relatively large example of a riveted water tower. Aside from its size, which necessitated a more complex than average support system, the tower is traditionally composed. The tower may have been built by the Chicago Bridge and Iron Company, which appears to have patented designs on water towers and built a majority of such water towers in the Midwest. Often, plaques naming a builder can be found at the base of the supports for the towers. However, a close-up examination of this tower has not yet been conducted.
