This is an excellent example of a riveted steel water tower. The tower is traditionally composed with built-up support beams and pin-connected support bracing connections. V-lacing is present on built-up beams and the bracing eyebars are loop-forged. Plaques located at the base of the supports for the towers indicate that the tower was built by the Chicago Bridge and Iron Works (Also Called Chicago Bridge and Iron Company), which appears to have patented designs on water towers and built a majority of such water towers in the Midwest. The tower appears to retain excellent historic integrity with no major alterations aside from a possible replacement of the pipe.
