Another note about this, that all County Roads are numbered from this spot. That is the reason for the light being here.
Gosh, Andy, you must have had that snowstorm the weekend I closed the barbershop and took Aunt Bee to that sleazy motel in Mount Pilot.
There's another one still in service in Mayberry-On-The-Mohawk. I have Barney hide behind the buildings so all us small-town folk can generate some revenue when you big city boys blast through there without ever thinking to look for a signal in the middle of the town square.
This is very similar to a traffic signal I saw in Toledo, Iowa. Whoever thought something like this would still be in service?
