Another note about this, that all County Roads are numbered from this spot. That is the reason for the light being here.

There's another one still in service in Mayberry-On-The-Mohawk. I have Barney hide behind the buildings so all us small-town folk can generate some revenue when you big city boys blast through there without ever thinking to look for a signal in the middle of the town square.

This is very similar to a traffic signal I saw in Toledo, Iowa. Whoever thought something like this would still be in service?
