fire house at Thomas Street and Culbertson Avenue was
opened in April 1913, to help cover the eastern part of the city. The
architectural style of the building is Beaux-Arts. It served as a fire
station until 1969, and was sold at a later date (the info I have does not
specify when). No specific info is included about Skippy either, who I would
assume was a firehouse dog.
