Description

Architect Alfred C. Clas partnered up with George B. Ferry in 1890 to design numerous buildings around the Milwaukee area. Ferry & Clas designed spectacular homes for the Pabst Family and the Joseph Vilas House in Manitowoc, churches, public buildings and libraries. (Not all Pabst Family houses and buildings were Ferry & Class but some were.)

This house was Clas' retirement home, and includes such whimsey as an owl sitting in an inset with the original address number, and a gnome holding the front porch light fixture.
