Description 

Formerly a large parapet-front brick building with modest stone accents. Was the first modern all-black theatre in Elizabeth City. One-story, two-bay brick addition on west was added in 1950s as city's black laundromat. Became a nightclub before it was razed.

Was part of the Shepard Street-South Road Street Historic District

Sorry about that. Based on the info I saw from the Shepard Street-South Road Street Historic District NRHP Nomination and the Street View, I drew that conclusion. I will change the Street View to show the "intact" theater! Sorry!!!!

NOT razed. It is still there. It is that brick building in the upper right corner.
