Turn of the 20th century livery stable and automobile repair garage

Athena Livery Stable & Garage

Photo taken by Richard Doody in December 2009

Pair of buildings representative of change from the horse & buggy to the automobile era (1890 - 1920s). The wooden livery stable on the east was torn down in the early 2000s to make way for a car wash. The brick building on the west with its heavy wooden doors and painted ghost signs remains as an example of an early auto service garage.
