Alki Point Lighthouse is a 37-foot tall octagonal brick tower with lantern and gallery, attached to a 1-story brick fog signal building built in 1913. The tower held a fourth order Fresnel lens that was visible at no less than 12 miles). The original Fresnel lens was replaced by a modern optic device in 1962. The station was automated in 1984.
