Description 

Mountain View was established in 1910 as a privately owned cemetery. It holds over 10,000 graves. Among its notable internments are the 65 unidentified victims of the Granite Mountain & Speculator Mine disaster of June 8, 1917 which claimed a total of 168 lives; Frank Little, organizer for the Industrial Workers of the World, who was brutally murdered and lynched in Butte on August 1, 1917 and; Robert "Evel" Kneivel, dare devil motorcyclist and Butte native.
