The Leggat is six story early Modernist style hotel built in 1914. The hotel was built on a steel frame with concrete walls faced in buff colored brick. The management of the time proclaimed it, "Butte's only fireproof hotel. That assertion is proudly proclaimed by the ghost sign on the upper east side of the building. The building was recently converted to low income housing.
