The Bank Boyer National Bank was founded November 10, 1869 by physician Dr. Dorsey S. Baker and businessman John F. Boyer, Baker's brother in law. It is the oldest bank in the State of Washington and received its national charter in 1889.

The bank's main office a seven story Neo-Classical/Greek Revival tower was designed by Beezer Brothers Architects and completed in May, 1911.
