Description

Joaquin Miller, a man the writer Ambrose Bierce called, “the greatest liar this country has ever produced” settled in Canyon City for a time and worked as a lawyer as well as a judge from 1866 to 1870. This was despite being a fugitive and being completely lacking of legal education. His cabin and many of his belongings are preserved at the Grant County Historical Museum.
