Description 

The Hoosick Falls Soldiers Monument was erected under the auspices of the Hoosick Falls Veteran Soldiers’ Association. The $1,500 granite statue of a Civil War infantryman was erected in Monument Park on May 30, 1878. The park and surrounding cast iron fence was donated by the village.

The monument is inscribed: “The citizens of Hoosick hold in grateful remembrance the soldiers who fought to save the Union," and "Erected by the Veterans Soldiers’ Association, A.D., 1878."
