This building was built in 1874 to house the H.W. Rogers Hose Company No.2 by Ameil Folger.

H.W. Rogers Hose Company, originally known as Engine Company No.2, was organized November 10, 1794, the second company organized in the city. Hudson has the oldest chartered volunteer fire company in New York State which was chartered on May 19, 1794.
