Richardsonian Romanesque style commercial building built in 1890
Photo taken by Richard Doody in January 2010
J.H. Kuhn built this large four story Richardsonian Romanesque building in 1890 as a hotel. He expended approximately $100,000 before the depression of 1893 struck leaving the project financially untenable and the upper two stories unfinished. Plans to complete the building fell through in 1906 and again in 1928. The two top stories of the building were removed in 1946.
