Description 

Frear's department store was designed by architects Mortimer & Son of Detroit. The four story building on the corner of Third and Fulton Streets was constructed between 1897 and 1904. It features marble and brick facades, a five by seven bay configuration, a two story arcaded entrance and window bays, paired windows on the third and fourth floors, elaborate cornice and a four story interior atrium.
