Description 

The Thomas Burke Monument was sculpted by Hermon Atkins MacNeil and erected in Volunteer Park, Seattle in 1929.

Thomas Burke was Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Washington Territory from 1888 to 1889. He led the suppression of anti-Chinese rioting in Seattle in 1886 and fought to bring the first railroads to Seattle.
