Italianate style cast iron and brick fire house built in 1883 converted to residence in 1958

Description 

This Italianate brick and cast iron front building is the oldest standing firehouse in San Francisco. It was built in 1883 and survived the 1906 earthquake. Engine Company No.13 utilized horse drawn engines until 1917 when it got motorized apparatus. The building was converted to a private residence in 1959.
