Mission Revival style wood frame firehouse built in 1911
This Mission Revival style firehouse that was built in 1911 to provide protection to the Excelsior Homestead District. Engine Company No.43 was a horse drawn unit until 1918 when it acquired motorized equipment.
The firehouse was sold at a surplus property auction in 1976 and is now a private residence.
