"The Carl and Clara Bucholtz Farmstead is a very good example of an early-twentieth-century farm also featuring a high style Queen Anne house. The intact collection of buildings that make up the farmstead represent the growth and development of the farm as it transitioned from wheat farming to dairying. These farmsteads help tell the story of Wisconsin's agricultural history, and dairying in particular – an iconic industry in the state. The Bucholtz Farmstead contributes to that story as one of Walworth County's most architecturally intact historic farmsteads."
From a press release, The Carl and Clara Bucholtz Farmstead Listed in the National Register of Historic Places from the Wisconsin Historical Society, issued December 17, 2018.
