Wilmington IL Depot Demolition

On February 7&8, 2012, one of the oldest depots in Illinois was torn down. This is to make room for a high speed rail line. The depot was built for the Chicago & Alton in 1868.

Description 

Former Chicago & Alton/Gulf Mobile & Ohio/Illinois Central Gulf railroad station.

Station building was demolished on February 7, 2012 during upgrading of the former Chicago & Alton Railroad.
