The beautiful Dettman House is known to have been built in 1810. Even without this knowledge, the coarseness of the cobblestones indicates that this is an early example of cobblestone construction in this area. According to the Cobblestone Museum database, this house is unique for wooden lintels, pilastered front corners and cobblestone back corners without the use of quoins.
