Posted August 24, 2014, by WADE W. MCCOMBS (WWMC1935 [at] GMAIL [dot] COM)

THIS HOME WAS BUILT BY MY FATHER CLIFFORD F MCCOMBS AND A CREW OF KURTHWOOD EMPLOYEES. ALL OF MY LIFE I HEARD FROM HIM AND MY MOTHER THAT THE HOUSE HAD A DANCE FLOOR UP STAIRS AND IT DOES' THEY HAD SATURDAY NIGHT DANCES,MY MOM WORKED AS A SWITCH BOARD OPERATOR DURING COLLEGE SUMMER. SHE MET MY DAD AND NEVER WENT BACK TO SCHOOL. JUST HAD 4 BABIES. MY WIFE AND I WENT THROUGH THE HOUSE THIS SPRING AND I GUESS BECAUSE MY DAD BUILT IT, IT WAS SOMETHING TO SEE. HE WORKED IN EXCESS OF 30 YEARS AS A BUILDING CONTRACTOR IN ALEXANDRIA AND PINEVILLE.
