The Mine Camp Cabin is owned by the Dodgeville Historical Society and is open year round for tours - if you call them. (I didn't call.)

The Society reports that this home was built in 1827 by Henry Dodge and his mining crew. (Henry Dodge was the first governor of Wisconsin, the first State Capitol is in Lafayette County.)
