Description

Walter Chandler was a lumber dealer, his house is a virtual catalog of wood specialties. The central feature of the house is a dramatic, four story tower with a widow's watch capped by a pyramidal roof. Other details include a veranda topped by a coupla that is topped with a finial. The port cochere features another pyramidal roof and basket handle arches. Scroll sawn details abound, with quatrefoils, bow-ribbons and brackets visible. An open gable is supported by column.

The Chandler is Waukesha Landmark #1.
