The Alfred Block is a narrow, two story, brick building with two bays of pairs of one-over-one double hung sash windows on its front elevation on the second story and the date "1897" centered between the arch. A short, brick facade is located .at the roof level and bears
the inscription "Alfred Block". The ground floor space has always been a tavern. The second story was a brothel, its interior is still intact.
