Built in 1890 in Cincinnati, the merry-go-round was transferred to the park in 1947, said Barb Hershelman, accounts payable for Albion borough. The park is located at the corner of Academy Street and Lisek Circle in Albion.

The carousel features 14 jumping horses, four zebras, four deer and four chariots, according to the National Carousel Association. The carousel still has all of its original characters with the exception of one chariot, which was built in 1991. Its original music, played by a Frati & Co. barrel organ, still plays as the carousel spins.
